With his unique vision and comprehensive approach to oral health, Dr. Rene Piedra and his bilingual Miami dental team have opened their doors in South Florida, to people of all ages, for almost 30 years. A graduate of the world renowned Tufts School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Piedra was the pioneering service provider of sedation dentistry, the groundbreaking LANAP (only FDA approved Laser alternative to gum surgery), as well as other less invasive developments, in Miami-Dade County. Bringing these innovative treatment options for dental health together with his proprietary fear and pain allaying systems, he developed a truly one-of-a kind dental practice in Miami, Florida.

Dr. Rene Piedra is a dedicated advocate for human rights and an active supporter of various community programs. His advocacy work has taken him across the globe, including addressing the OSCE in Warsaw, Poland, on issues of human trafficking.
As the founding president of Active CEOs and Executives (A.C.E.), Dr. Piedra spearheaded initiatives such as the New York Fire Rescue Workers Rehabilitation Program following the events of 9/11.
Beyond his humanitarian efforts, Dr. Piedra has played a pivotal role in advancing sedation dentistry and influencing the scope of dentistry and oral health in South Florida. Several of his practice methods have been passed down through apprenticeships to well-known sedation dentists in Miami, expanding access to care for those who previously found dentistry difficult or overwhelming. His influence in the field has helped countless South Floridians restore their oral health, improve their overall well-being, and regain their confidence.
